Research Focus

The Claridge-Chang Lab studies the neural circuits that control behavior. We use Drosophila melanogaster and other model organisms to understand how brains generate actions.

Key Research Areas

  • Optogenetics: Light-activated ion channels to control neural activity
  • Behavioral Analysis: Automated systems to measure animal behavior
  • Statistical Methods: Better statistical practices in neuroscience
